Alastair M. Dorward / Challenger Brand Entrepreneur
Alastair Dorward was the Founding CEO of Method Products, inc. serving from March of 2001 until August 2008. He brought to life
the vision of the company’s founders and was been responsible for driving the company from pre-revenue to $100MM in seven years,
earning the company recognition in Inc. magazine as the fastest growing company in California. Under his leadership, Method earned
admiration for industry-changing innovation and environmental leadership.
Prior to joining Method, from 1996 to 2000, Alastair was Founder and CEO of Covent Garden, a refrigerated soup brand. Before finding his
passion as a consumer goods entrepreneur, Alastair served for 5 years as a consultant with Bain & Company, providing strategic advice to
clients in the UK, Eastern Europe, and California. A native Scot, Alastair moved to the Bay Area in 1995. An active member of the Young President’s Organization, he serves on the Board of the Golden Gate Chapter.
Alastair is currently collaborating with Physic Ventures, as the firm’s Executive in Residence. Physic Ventures provide early-stage venture
capital and strategic resources to entrepreneurial teams committed to building great companies focused on personal and planetary health and wellbeing.
Alastair earned an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University, and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD Business School.
He lives in Larkspur with his wife, Amanda, and their four young children..
Rob King /Vice President and Editor-In-Chief - ESPN
Rob King was named Editor-In-Chief of ESPN.com in June 2007. In the role, he is responsible for supervision of all content and the overall editorial direction for the leading online sports destination and its related properties, as well as the management of the award-winning team of more than 200 editors, writers, designers and producers across ESPN.com and its network of related sites.
King works closely with ESPN’s many news, information and programming units under Norby Williamson, executive vice president, programming, to develop greater cross- platform integration and development of cross-media franchises.
King brings extensive experience and sound news and editorial judgment to the job. At ESPN, he previously served as a senior coordinating producer in the studio production unit, responsible for (at various times): ESPN’s award-winning NBA studio programming; the award-winning Outside the Lines; ESPN’s on-location coverage of major golf events, including the Masters and the U.S. Open; and ESPNEWS, the nation’s only 24-hour sports news television network. He joined ESPN in the studio production unit in 2004.
King began his career in the newspaper business. From 1997 – 2004, he was at the Philadelphia Inquirer, serving as graphic artist, deputy sports editor, assistant managing editor and deputy managing editor. Prior to that, King worked at the Louisville Courier-Journal as a graphic artist, director of photography and presentation editor. From 1987 through 1992, he worked at the Courier-Post in Cherry Hill, N.J., a major suburban Philadelphia paper. His first job was with the Commercial-News in Danville, Ill., as a general assignment reporter and graphic artist.
King received a bachelor of arts degree in English from Wesleyan University in 1984

Julie is the Vice President of Brand at Virgin USA overseeing branding strategy for new Virgin companies in North America as well as providing strategic brand support for the established Virgin businesses.

New Ventures, and Subaru Tribeca. She is the creator of Interbrand’s proprietary Brand Tango® Innovation process which leverages out of category best practices to break through in competitive markets.
Fluent in French, Julie spent three years at Grey Paris as an International Account Director during her ten year tenure at Grey Worldwide. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Annenberg School of Communications. She lives in Westchester County with her husband and two children
Paul H. Sartori, Ph.D. / Corporate Vice President and Chief HR Officer - Bausch & Lomb
Paul H. Sartori, PhD. is corporate vice president and chief human resources officer. He was named to this post in 2008.
Most recently, Dr. Sartori was senior vice president of organizational development and human resources for BioTrove, Inc, which he joined in 2007. Prior, beginning in 2000, he was a partner and principal at CHM Partners International, LLC, the international executive search and management consulting firm. While at CHM, he served as the chief human resources officer on a retained basis for a number of start-up companies, including Integrated Biosystems and Focus Diagnostics.
Dr. Sartori has also served as global vice president of human resources for Covance; executive vice president, External Affairs and Human Resources at Novartis; senior vice president of Human Resources and Communications at CIBA-Geigy; and global vice president of Human Resources at CIBA-Corning Diagnostics.
Dr. Sartori has held teaching and administrative roles at the University of Virginia, James Madison University, and the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
He was born in Somerville, MA in August 1946. He received his M.A.T. in history, Ph.D. in education and MBA from the University of Virginia, and his B.A. in history from Northeastern University.
Dr. Sartori is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Curry School of Education Foundation at the University of Virginia, and a member of the Advisory Board for Tau Therapeutics, an incubator company at the University of Virginia.
