Philosophy IB leadership coaching training program fully accredited by ICF

Students now eligible to apply for credentialing using the ACTP method

Florham Park, NJ - May 3, 2012 - Philosophy IB, a boutique management consulting firm specializing in strategy implementation, in association with George Mason University, received Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) accreditation by the International Coach Federation (ICF) on February 7, 2012 for their Professional Certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance program.

The ACTP accreditation allows all participants of the Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance Certificate program the ability to apply for one of two credentials offered through the ICF using the ACTP application method. The first credential is the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and the second is Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

The cohort certificate program offers five highly participatory course modules for students who want to develop knowledge and skills and practice coaching in realistic leadership scenarios as they occur in organizations. The program also emphasizes the learning of critical coaching skills and their application to organizational challenges that leaders face today which ties nicely to the belief of the program's staff and instructors that, today, more than ever, leadership is seen as the ability to inspire others to achieve higher levels of performance. Lisa Garcia, a recent graduate of the program, and an Area Director for Performance Development at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company described the course as "absolutely phenomenal" and mentioned that she loved "the fact that there are three different instructors who each bring a different set of perspectives and experiences."

The program, which is led by instructors with an extensive blend of organizational, business, and coaching experience, first began in Fall 2010. Three cohorts have been completed with the last cohort, Fall 2011, filling to capacity. Kaveh Naficy, a partner from Philosophy IB who is the program founder, states that "to receive such a prestigious accreditation in such a short amount of time is a testament to the quality of the program and the hard work and dedication to not only the staff and instructors but also to the students and alumni."
