The Professional Certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational PerformanceTM is an International Coach Federation (ICF) ACTP accredited program for individuals who want to develop coaching skills and apply them in realistic organizational settings. It is ideal for anyone who seeks to become an external executive coach, an internal coach, or a leader who wants to set him or herself apart by consistently bringing out the best in employees.

How It Works.

The Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance programTM launched in 2010 and was accredited by the ICF in 2012. It is recognized by the ICF as offering a minimum of 132 hours of coach-specific training, training on all ICF Core Competencies and the ICF Code of Ethics, a minimum of 6 observed coaching sessions with an experienced coach, and a comprehensive final exam that evaluates a student's coaching competency.

The highly-participatory and interactive program includes classroom-based learning, practice coaching sessions, teleconferences, and independent reading. Over the course of 5 months, program participants progress through 5 learning modules. Participants who complete the program are awarded a professional certificate and meet the academic requirements for one of two ICF certifications: Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

Our Instructors.

Kaveh Naficy
Founding Partner and Coaching Practice Lead at Philosophy IB, Kaveh received his B.A. from Baker University, a Master's degree in Labor Relations from Cornell University and an M.B.A from Boston College. He completed his coaching training at Georgetown University, is PCC-certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF), and has conducted over 2,500 hours of executive coaching. Kaveh leads the coaching program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and built the ICF-certified Executive Coaching Program at George Mason University. Prior to founding Philosophy IB, Kaveh held executive positions at Citibank, Ernst & Young, and Warner Lambert.

Christopher Brookfield
A former entrepreneur and CEO, Chris is currently Principal and Coaching Leader at Philosophy IB. He holds a B.A. in psychology from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Chris was trained and certified through The Coaches Institute, one of the oldest and most rigorous coaching schools in the country. He is an ICF, PCC-certified coach with over 15 years of experience coaching people and organizations. Chris served for three years on the Board of Directors of the Metro DC International Coaches and has lectured at the Darden School of Business.

Sandi Stewart
Sandi is an executive coach and consultant with over 20 years of organizational experience. Sandi has a BA in psychology and French from Colgate University and an MBA from Columbia University. She trained as a coach with Coach University and Corporate Coach University and her career has spanned a number of industries in her roles as manager, marketer and strategic planner. She was a manager with Johnson & Johnson, Hearst/ABC, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich and Ferrero, N.A. This work experience, an M.B.A., and her more than 20 years of consulting and coaching has given her a breadth of understanding of the diverse challenges executives face.
